My Cuties
More pics...just cause.
Okay...how ADORABLE is this face????
More chillin'... I'm telling ya, this girl has got it down.

A Rough Crowd...
This video is too cute...Dawson is reading 'Hey Diddle Diddle' to Andi, but she is not cooperative and completely not paying attention. But, Dawson keeps reading it to her anyway! I love it! He has always LOVED this nursery rhyme & it is cute that he reads it to her now. She does listen to him... sometimes...

Rollie Pollies & Mosquitos

OH SHOOT! I just realized that I filmed this video sideways...I forgot that it won't load vertical. Oh well, it is cute anyway (just turn your head :-)

No Nap = Crazy Woman
The other day, Andi refused to take a nap again. When that happens, she reacts one of two ways: 1- extreme hysteria & crying by the time evening comes OR 2-everything becomes REALLY funny to her & she gets a little delirious... This evening she reacted with the second option. I heard her in Dawson's room & went to see what she was up to. She was saying "Choo Choos" over & over & over... She loves Thomas the train, thanks to Dawson, so she loves Dawson's room. But, this video is hilarious. The second video is of her trying to sing the Thomas the train song...too cute.

Are we raising a sexist?
Dawson was watching a Texans game a couple of days ago with Derek & he was totally in to it.
"Look..that man has the ball! He's gonna tackle him! Go Man! Go Man!"
Then, the camera switched to show the cheerleaders & Dawson said:
"Those are just GIRLS...what are they doing!?!"
We laughed so hard. We explained to him that they were cheerleaders & what cheerleaders do, but I still don't think it made sense to him why GIRLS would be there! Ha!

4 Generations
A couple of weeks ago, we took 4 generation pictures with my Grandma 'GiGi'. They could not have turned out any better. Here are some of the best ones, and one of the composites I did for Dawson's album. The last image is a 4-generation pic we took with Derek & his grandma almost a year ago. These images are SOOOO special to me. Both GiGi & Granny just celebrated their 90th Birthdays! Wow...just imagine what all these two special ladies have seen.

Slang
I love the fact that Dawson doesn't understand 'slang' yet. It makes for some really funny conversations:
-Derek & Dawson are playing soccer in the living room:
Derek- "Good kick Dawson...that's what I'm talking about!"
Dawson- "Yeah, let's talk ABOUT it Dada!"
-Dawson & I are dancing before bed-time:
me- "Dawson, you are such a mess..."
Dawson- "I am Mama. I'm a messy, messy boy."

Funny I forgot...
Derek reminded me of one more funny Dawson story I forgot to blog about. It is also about the olympics. One day while watching, boxing came on. Now, Dawson has never seen boxing before...and he was mesmerized, like could not look away from the tv. For a couple of moments he was silent & I knew he was trying to process what he was seeing. Then he said "Mommy-that red guy is hitting the blue guy...THAT'S NOT NICE. Is he hurting him? Oh...look, now they are hugging. He said he's sorry." Rather than try to explain everything, I just agreed with him & changed the channel.
More Dawson funnies...
This kid seriously cracks me up. He just says the funniest things & he is so dang smart! Here are three more funny stories:
1. Last night, when Derek got home from work, Dawson ran over to him & said, "Come on Dada, let's go watch the Lymecks." I was totally confused & Derek was cracking up laughing. Translation: Lymecks = Olympics
2. Yesterday I was telling Dawson something & he interrupted me by saying, "Mommy, Mommy, MOMMY! I just need to tell you a little story right now. Me & Dada are going to go to Kemah & ride the big yellow boat...Okay? Then in 4 minutes, we will ride the train. Okay? Okay."
3. Dawson asked me to color with him yesterday. I was coloring on one side of the book & he the other side. When I finished my page he said, very dramatically, "Mama, that is SOOO WONDERFUL! So, So Wonderful...Great job!"

"Luv Ooh"
Baby girl is talking like crazy & I am trying to catch all of her cute sayings on camera. I have captured most of them, but the vidoes kind of drag on until she 'performs.' But, here is a short clip I managed to get of her saying 'Love You." Enjoy.
Dawson-isms
Two funny stories:
1. A couple of weeks ago, we had a family get together at Mamaw's house for Heather's birthday. Now, Dawson LOVES cake. As we were about to leave, he started looking around the room & said "Mamaw's gonna stay here, Brett's gonna stay here,...(BIG SIGH) the CAKE is gonna stay here..." We all laughed & Mamaw sent some cake home with us. The next day Dawson brought the cake to me & said, "Mom, cake is amazing." I chuckled and said "Yeah, cake is amazing." Then Dawson said "Yeah, it's AMAZING to EAT cake...Mom, get a fork."
2. Today we registered Dawson for soccer with the YMCA. I don't know who is more excited me or him. I can hardly believe we are already at the sport playing age! I told Dawson I was going to call first to make sure of everything I needed to bring to sign him up. While on the phone with a lady at the Y, Dawson comes running into the room & says, "Mom, is that my coach on the phone? I want to talk to my coach! I want to tell him hi!" He is just too cute.

Chillin'
Andi has officially learned the 'art of relaxing.' During the day, I will come into the room to find her lounging on the couch like a big girl. This day, Sadie decided she looked harmless enough to snuggle with, and jumped up there with her. They watched mouse together like this.

Censored Pics...
Okay...Dawson saw the censored pics on the blog & this was the conversation we had:
Dawson: "OH NO!!! Mommy what is that on my penis????? Where did my penis go??? Take that black box off!"
I then explained to him that I didn't want everyone to see him naked & that is why they are there.
He looked at me sideways and asks: "Does Andi have a penis under her box?"
I tell him "No, she's a girl." (We have had this conversation MANY times & he knows girls don't have one)
Dawson: "Then take her box off Mama."
Oh the conversations you have with toddlers...:-)

Uh Oh...PooPoos
Andi is potty-training, and she has started telling me "Uh, Oh Poopoos" when she needs to go. However, she also tells me this everytime she passes gas as well...
Well, earlier today, after finishing her sippy of juice she belched a pretty good belch. She looked at me and said "AHHHH PooPoos!"
Apparently the potty training will last awhile longer...

DaDa out of town...
A Photographer's Kid
Dawson yelled to me the other day:
"Mama, hurry come here...I am being cute!"
I find him in Andi's room hiding under her rocking chair...
"No, Mama...bring the camera!"
So, these images are from Dawson's photo shoot. He posed himself & told me when to take the picture. The first image is of him snoring, pretending to sleep! Too cute! My kids definitely know what a camera is...

Kiddos Playin'
The kids are really starting to enjoy each other...thank goodness! I was really getting tired of saying "Don't hit, or push, or kick, or pinch, or BITE!!!!" five hundred times a day! That still happens from time to time...but not like it was before. I know I am asking for trouble by saying this, but they are actually kind of easy right now...This is them hiding in Dawson's closet (their new favorite thing to do). There is a video of this at the bottom.
