I guess I was not in a photo taking mood this year...I only took like 3 pics all day long!

Dawson's 7 year old pics

For Dawson's 7 year old pics, he wanted to take pics with his bow.  So, we ended up throwing Spidey Dog and Dad into the session too!

Dawson's 7th Birthday party

My sweet boy got to have his 7th birthday party on his actual birthday, and when your a kid it doesn't get more awesome than that!  Last year we invited 20 kids to his party, but since his birthday falls the first week of summer tons of people were out of town, and only 6 kids could make it.  So this year I told him we could invite more kiddos, we invited 30, with the hopes that more could make it.  You guessed it...ALL of them came!!!!  So, with siblings, we had 36 kids at our house!  Whew.  But, it was a great party with great entertainment: Roly the Clown!

First we played outside carnival games,

then we did cake & presents complete with clown noses,

then it was Roly the Clown time!

Dawson was Roly's helper all through the show.

FYI, wearing undies on your head is really very uncomfortable.  Just in case you were inspired.

Super Hero Photo Shoot

One afternoon my kids came running up to me dressed like this, and Andi said very formally 'Mam, can you please take family pictures of our family?'  I pretended along with them, and took their family portraits for them.

 After this picture, they left to go get more Super babies.

They came back with their newest family member for another 'session'.  As they were leaving, Andi said 'Come on Dawson, lets go get more super babies.'  Dawson said 'Nope.  We are all out of capes and masks...we can't have any more babies.'  Always Mr. Practical.

Port Aransas Vacation

 The kids absolutely LOVED our vacation to Port Aransas.  We tagged along as Derek competed in The Pipeliners Fishing Tournament.  One of their favorite parts of the trip was the bunk beds in our condo.  It's always the little things.

 Everyone drives these little carts all over town.  It was pretty fun cruising this baby up and down the street, to the pool, to the beach...again, the kids thought it was simply amazing.

 But, on the other side of the fancy hair, was the crazy tooth!  It bled all the time, but would NOT come out!

And...her tooth FINALLY fell out like two days after we got home!  But, we had such a great time in Port Aransas.  Such a cute little beach town.  If my kiddos have any say, we will be back here again soon.

End of First Grade!

End of first grade...summer time fun, here we come!  I LOVE having my babies home with me all the time!

Baby Kaitlyn arrives!

I love this picture.  Baby Kaitlyn's paparazzi.  I had to patiently wait my turn to get a look at sweet baby K.

I honestly don't think Andi could have been more excited about baby Kaitlyn.  She was so smitten.  We even got lucky and were able to sneek her into the hospital when the nurses desk was unattended...shhh, don't tell.  After we left the hospital, I asked Andi what she was thinking when she saw Kaitlyn.  She said 'Well, I was wondering is she had any legs.'

 So, I took her over to see Kaitlyn right after they got home so that she could see that she did in fact have legs.

Andi insisted that I print a picture of the two of them to frame in her room...so sweet.
