In the middle of May, Derek & Dawson found this sweet pup at the high school baseball game right behind our house. The funny part was, we had just decided a few months before this that we were going to get Dawson a dog. We researched different breeds, decided we wanted to get a lab, and had our fence completely redone to make it 'dog-proof'. Well, the fence guys finished up the fence around 6:00 that evening, right before the boys walked over to game & found him. He was just meant to be ours. We did try for several weeks to find his owners by putting up signs & contacting all the local vets. He did not have a collar on & he wasn't chipped either. So, after about 3-4 weeks, we decided he was officially a member of the family! 
The left picture is the day after we found him, and the right picture is just one week after we found him. I can hardly stand to look at his skin & bones pictures now!
And, one of my favorites of him smiling!He is such an amazing dog. He is SO laid back, he never jumps on people, he is GREAT with the kids, he hardly ever barks, he doesn't lick, and he has never had an accident inside the house. He also learns tricks really fast. The vet guessed him to be between 2 and 3 years old. We are so excited to have this dog in our family!
